Funding Priorities
The following requirements determine eligibility to apply for the Equipment Donation Grant Program. Applicants will be asked to provide proof they meet each requirement in the application process.
Applicants who do not meet all requirements will not be considered.
Must be a member of the National Black Brewers Association
Must have a location to install the equipment in the U.S.
Proof of registered business
Access to funds to purchase necessary additional equipment to support brew system
Proposal Guidelines
To fairly determine who best to receive this equipment donation, select members of the National Black Brewers Association Board of Directors and Advisory Board, led by the Board of Directors President, form a task force to review applicants and their proposals. Applicants will be required to provide proof that they meet the eligibility requirements and a written proposal with supporting documentation for the selection committee to review and make their determination.

Financial Statements and StabilityList Item 1
Applicants will be asked to provide recent financial statements (e.g. income statements, balance sheets, etc.) with the supporting documentation for their proposal. This ensures that the recipient of the equipment has the financial stability to maintain and operate the new equipment, safeguarding the investment's longevity and success.

Plan for Equipment UtilizationList Item 2
Applicants must provide in their proposal a detailed plan on how the equipment will be integrated into current operations, with consideration for sustainable brewing practices. Ensuring that the recipient has a clear vision and practical strategy for leveraging the new equipment to maximize productivity and growth.

Demonstrated Needs for EquipmentList Item 3
Applicants must show a genuine need for the donated equipment, such as limitations in production capacity or expansion plans that are hindred by existing equipment constraints. This ensures the donation is impactful and addresses a critical operational gaps for the recipient.

Commitment to Community EngagementList Item 4
Applicants should demonstrate in their proposal how they will "pay-it-forward" and contiribute to their local communities, such as through job creation, local collaborations, or community events. This ensures that the donation has broader social impact beyond the business itself.

Proposal Requirements
- The written proposal must be at minimum 400 words.
- The proposal also must include supporting documents (financial statements, proof of active business license, etc.)
- Applicants who do not meet all eligibility requirements and who do not submit a proposal will not be considered.
